The
Director of the Lac Hong Art Gallery, Ms. Diep comes from a family of scholastic
background in Ha Noi. An important part of her family tradition is the love for
the arts, particularly the domains of collecting and dealing of paintings and
other forms of art works.
Endowed
with a dynamic and sensitive nature, as well as an aptitude of the aesthetics
and a passion for paintings, Ms. Diep’s nature led her to the art gallery.
Owning
an art gallery on Dong Khoi Street since 1989, Ms. Diep counts amongst her own
precious collection works by master painters as well as well-known contemporary
Vietnamese artists. Since 1997, Ms. Diep’s Lac Hong Art Gallery has moved to a
new location. It now located inside the Ho Chi Minh City Art Museum.
The
Lac Hong Art Gallery has participated in the following international
expositions:

1993: International Art Fair Palexpo in Geneva, Switzerland.

1994: The Fourth Australian Contemporary Art Fair in Melbourne, Australia.

1995: The Asian Contemporary Art Exhibition in Hong Kong.

The Vietnamese Contemporary Art Exhibition Mekong 96, organized at the
Galerie de Bellens in Geneva, Switzerland.

October
1999: The Joint Exhibition of Chinese-Vietnamese Oil Paintings, organized
at Asia Artists Gallery in Singapore.

November
2000: Solo exhibition of
Vietnamese painter Hoai Huong’s works, organized with the Asia Artists
Gallery in Singapore.

May 2002: "Africa Meets Asia" Exhibition at
Shamwari Gallery in Oakland, USA

July 2002: Exhibition at the Cathedral Hill
Hotel in San Francisco, USA, with the "Bridging Two Cultures" program
held by the San Francisco - Ho Chi Minh City Sister City Committee.

At
the present time, Lac Hong Art Gallery is developing a number of projects aimed
at organizing exhibitions for various groups of Vietnamese artists.
