The Director of the Lac Hong
Gallery, Ms Tran Ngoc Diep comes from a family of scholastic background in
Ha Noi. An important part of her family tradition is the love for the arts,
particularly the domains of collecting and dealing of paintings and other
forms of art works. Endowed with a dynamic and sensitive nature, as well as
an aptitude of the aesthetics and a passion for paintings, Ms Tran Ngoc
Diep’s nature led her to the art gallery.
Owning an art gallery on Dong Khoi
Street since 1989, Ms Tran Ngoc Diep counts amongst her own precious
collection works by master painters as well as well-known contemporary
Vietnamese artists. Since 1997, Ms Tran Ngoc Diep’s Lac Hong Gallery has
moved to a new location. It now located inside the Ho Chi Minh City Art
Museum.
Now, with more than twenty years
of hard work and passion in collecting and trading Vietnamese fine art, Ms
Tran Ngoc Diep has established the precious brand name of Lac Hong Gallery.
She is one of the best and longest established fine art dealers in Viet Nam.
In the past two years, the coordinal and respectful collaboration between
Lac Hong Gallery and Mr Peter Quintana - the director of Oc-Eo Art in
England, a UK’s leading specialist in contemporary and modern Vietnamese
painting - has opened a new channel to introduce works of talented
Vietnamese artists to the international communities.
